About

Eleven years of Maine apartments, run for cash flow.

Fifty Six Properties owns and runs 100 apartments in Hollis, Sanford and Limerick. We buy for cash flow, fix what needs fixing, and tell our partners exactly what happened.

How we got here

I’m an engineer by training. I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Maine, then spent fifteen years in consumer products: engineering, sourcing, sales operations and product marketing. My last job before Fifty Six was engineering management at iRobot.

In 2015 we bought a six-unit building on Maple Street in Limerick. In 2019 we added three more Limerick houses and, with partners, 63 apartments in Hollis. Sanford followed in 2022.

The idea hasn’t changed. Buy older Maine apartment buildings at a price that works on today’s rent. Fix what needs fixing. Run them for cash flow, not for a bet on the market. Then tell partners what happened, every quarter, in plain English.

Today that’s 100 apartments in three towns, and more than $1.9 million paid out to partners.
